ANSYS Products 2023 New Features:
1. Structural dynamic analysis
Structural dynamics analysis is used to solve the effects of time-varying loads on structures or components. Unlike a static analysis, a dynamic analysis takes into account the time-varying force loading and its effects on damping and inertia. The types of structural dynamic analysis that the program can perform include: transient dynamic analysis, modal analysis, harmonic response analysis and random vibration response analysis.
2. Piezoelectric analysis
Used to analyze the response of 2D or 3D structures to AC (alternating current), DC (direct current), or any time-varying electrical or mechanical load. This type of analysis can used for structural dynamic performance analysis of components such as heat exchangers, oscillators, resonators, microphones, and other electronic equipment. Four types of analysis can performed: static analysis, modal analysis, harmonic response analysis, transient response analysis
3. Sound field analysis
The program’s acoustics functionality is used to study the propagation of sound waves in media containing fluids, or to analyze the dynamic behavior of solid structures immersed in fluids. These functions can used to determine the frequency response of an acoustic microphone, study the sound field intensity distribution in a concert hall, or predict the damping effect of water on a vibrating ship hull.
4. Electromagnetic field analysis
It is mainly used for the analysis of electromagnetic field problems, such as inductance, capacitance, magnetic flux density, eddy current, electric field distribution, magnetic field line distribution, force, motion effect, circuit and energy loss, etc. It can also used in the design and analysis fields of solenoids, regulators, generators, converters, magnets, accelerators, electrolyzers, and non-destructive testing devices.
5. Kinetic analysis
The software program can analyze the motion of large 3D soft bodies. Use these capabilities to analyze the behavior of complex structures in space when the cumulative effects of motion dominate. Is to determine the resulting stresses, strains, and deformations in the structure.
6. Structural static analysis
It is used to solve displacements, stresses and forces caused by external loads. Static analysis is well suited to problems where the effects of inertia and damping on the structure are not significant. The static analysis in the software program can not only perform linear analysis. But also nonlinear analysis, such as plasticity, creep, expansion, large deformation, large strain and contact analysis.
7. Fluid dynamics analysis
The fluid element can perform fluid dynamics analysis, and the analysis type can transient or steady state. Analysis results can the pressure at each node and the flow rate through each element. And post-processing functions can be used to generate graphical displays of pressure, flow rate and temperature distribution. In addition, 3D surface effect elements and heat-flow pipe elements can used to simulate the fluid flow around the structure and include convective heat transfer effects.
8. Structural nonlinear analysis
Structural nonlinearity causes the response of a structure or component to vary disproportionately with external loads. ANSYS program can solve static and transient nonlinear problems, including material nonlinear, geometric nonlinear and unit nonlinear.
9. Thermal analysis
The program handles three basic types of heat transfer: conduction, convection, and radiation. All three types of heat transfer are available for steady state and transient, linear and nonlinear analysis. Thermal analysis also has phase change analysis capabilities that can simulate material solidification and melting processes. The thermal-structural coupling analysis capabilities that simulate thermal and structural stresses.
